Team Awards

The 2012 Susan G. Komen Central Texas Affiliate Race for the Cure® is all about TEAMS! Our Race teams can change history—the history of breast cancer—by helping the Komen Central Texas Affiliate Race for the Cure reach record-breaking levels of Race participation and fundraising. A Race for the Cure team is a group of 10 or more participants who join together for the Race season to have fun and raise funds to empower the breast cancer movement.

Team Awards

Team awards help drive the friendly competition that makes each year better than the last! Numbers for awards are calculated for registrations and donations received by a specific date. Team members may continue to register and raise funds up until 5pm Friday, September 28th, 2012. However, any registrations or funds collected after the cut-off date will not be considered for award calculation purposes.

We recognize the following Team Award Categories:

• Top Fundraising Teams
• Largest Team Participation in each Category
• Largest Fundraiser
• Best Team T-shirt Design - Create your own T-shirts! Whatever you can think of. Your imagination is the limit! (Please no Pink shirts as we reserve Pink for our Survivors. And be sure to ask about using the official team insignia graphic! No Race for the Cure logos, please) 

Team Captains! Be the first team to raise $1,500 or more before June 1st and win a team dinner!

Have 10 or more people register on your team by midnight on 5/31/2012!
If you have 10 people or more registered online before 5/31/2012 we will send you our official insignia that can be used on your team t-shirt.

Donate when you register for the Race and enter to win a fabulous prize!
Participants who make an additional gift along with their registration fee help us continue to fund life-saving breast health programs.  Consider that the average cost of a mammogram in Central Texas Texas is around $125 and donate what you can.

TEAM T-SHIRTS
Creating your own team t-shirts? Register your team of 10 or more before 5/31/2012 and we will provide you are official team insignia to be put on your team t-shirt.

Design a team shirt and enter the T-Shirt Contest at in-person registration/packet pickup. Each vote is $1 and anyone can participate in the voting! The winning team will earn all of the collected funds as a single team donation! Entries into the contest are due to Komen Central Texas by 5:00 PM on September 23rd.
